Project Oak St

Located in Vienna, Virginia, Project Oak St by Monarch Custom Homes is a unique fusion of cottage-inspired charm and refined contemporary detailing. Designed to feel both inviting and architecturally bold, the home blends natural warmth, textures, and clean, modern lines throughout its exterior and interior.

The exterior celebrates the feeling of a cottage getaway with rich over grouted stonework paired with board-and-batten siding painted in Urban Jungle. Smooth Hardie panels in Urban Bronze add depth, while the hard rolled copper roof and copper gutters introduce a warm, timeless glow. Black Pella windows, dark fascia, and a modern wood pivot door bring contemporary contrast, while the cobblestone porch, wood soffits, and copper topped chimney enhance the home’s natural, handcrafted character. Glass railings and layered lighting further elevate the home’s refined architectural presence.

Inside, the home transitions into a clean, modern aesthetic enriched with natural textures and sculptural lighting. The palette is anchored by accent walls, and expansive Adda Silver tile flooring for a seamless, contemporary foundation. Vaulted, groin-vaulted, tray, and drop ceilings are enhanced with indirect LED lighting and black recessed fixtures, adding softness and architectural depth. Light oak-stained beams introduce organic warmth, while accent walls with integrated lighting appear throughout the foyer, office, dining room, and living room.
Interior doors are finished in deep black with vertical metal grooves, creating a crisp contemporary contrast, while frosted glass grid doors in first floor closets and the laundry room add a subtle cottage influence.

The kitchen blends rustic warmth with modern refinement through dark wood veneer cabinetry, full slab Dekton Pietra countertops, panel ready Sub Zero and Wolf appliances, and sculptural contemporary lighting. The adjacent vaulted living room features oak ceiling beams, a statement chandelier, and a three sided fireplace wrapped in stone and Silestone Le Chic panels. Indirect lighting across the fireplace wall emphasizes depth and adds a warm contemporary glow.

The owner’s suite is designed as an elevated modern retreat, featuring translucent Parisian Blue Le Chic wall panels, floating wood toned furniture, a stretch-ceiling lighting design, and soft bronze fixtures. The primary bathroom showcases heated flooring, large-format Dekton Kelya surfaces, warm bronze Schluter detailing, a curbless shower with an invisible linear drain, fluted floating vanities, and a freestanding soaking tub framed by soft sculptural lighting. Secondary bathrooms continue the home’s modern yet cottage tone with marble and porcelain surfaces, warm wood accents, and clean-lined floating vanities.

The lower level extends the home’s warm contemporary character with a copper accented wet bar, a modern exercise room with mirrored walls and wood cladding, and a guest suite bathroom featuring pebble floors and textured lineal wall tile. A fully tiled powder room with a concrete vessel sink and Dekton Keon countertop adds a dramatic, earthy modern moment. The mudroom includes warm walnut-tone surfaces, a floating wood bench, durable flooring, and soft wall sconces that continue the cottage meets modern story.

A thoughtful blend of cottage retreat charm and modern contemporary luxury, Project Oak St embodies Monarch’s commitment to build homes that feel warm, inviting, and architecturally bold, delivering a modern home that truly feels like a sanctuary.
