Project Kellogg Dr

Located in McLean, Virginia, Project Kellogg Dr by Monarch Custom Homes is a beautifully modern transitional residence that blends elegant architectural form with contemporary materiality and light-filled interiors. Designed with clean symmetry, refined textures, and natural warmth, the home embodies Monarch’s commitment to timeless sophistication.

The façade features a dynamic mix of Snowball smooth stucco, European ledgestone, and Sagiper espresso blackwood siding, creating balance between soft tones and earthy depth. Andersen black casement windows, dark iron-look steel columns, and Iron Ore gutters and trim emphasize the home’s modern geometry, while a stained walnut DSA front door with frosted glass provides a striking focal point.
The Rustic Slate Tamko Heritage shingle roof is accented with black metal roofing elements, tying together the home’s contrasting materials. Outdoor spaces feature bluestone porch flooring, wood ceilings stained to match the entry door, and LED wall sconces that enhance the architectural rhythm day and night.

Inside, the palette centers on High Reflective White walls and Iron Ore accent walls, creating contrast and elegance. The family room includes a 48-inch linear fireplace with dark quartz shelving, indirect LED lighting, and wood floating shelves, offering a warm focal point within the open plan.
The kitchen showcases a Calacatta Gold quartz island and backsplash, with a bold 3-inch mitered edge, combining durability and luxury. The prep kitchen and butler’s pantry continue the modern aesthetic with white and dark wood cabinetry, black quartz countertops, and undercounter refrigeration.

Upstairs, the owner’s suite features a tray ceiling with LED rope lighting, a statement accent wall in Iron Ore, and a spa-like bathroom with floating vanities, quartz countertops, and niche lighting. Secondary baths echo the same craftsmanship with floating wood vanities, gray tiles, round mirrors, and frameless glass enclosures.
The powder room stands out with dark Dekton Korso Stonika glossy surfaces, LED-lit mirrors, and bronze cabinetry, creating a sophisticated, moody contrast.

In the basement, a wet bar with stained wood shiplap walls, home theater with indirect lighting, and glass-walled gym combine comfort and function. The mudroom features a built-in dog shower, while the chevron red oak floors, open metal stair railing, and sleek lighting design tie the modern spaces together harmoniously.

Project Kellogg Dr captures Monarch’s vision of elegant modern living, a residence defined by balance, and the artful blending of texture, light, and form.
