Located in Vienna, Virginia, Project Cody Rd by Monarch Custom Homes is a beautifully balanced expression of Transitional Modern architecture, where timeless form meets sleek contemporary detailing.
The exterior features a refined palette of Sto White fine-sand stucco with grooves, stone, and stained wood soffits, accented by black Andersen windows, frosted-glass garage doors, and a stained double front door that introduces warmth to the clean geometry. Horizontal lines, banded detailing, and subtle lighting create depth and rhythm across the façade, while bluestone porches, parged concrete sunken patios, and Rustic Black roofing ground the home in quiet sophistication.
At the rear, an oversized basement areaway with large windows floods the lower level with natural light, transforming the space into a bright, livable extension of the main floor. This feature opens to a spacious sunken patio, designed as an elegant outdoor entertainment area that seamlessly connects the interior with the surrounding landscape.
Inside, the architecture emphasizes light, openness, and balance. Tray ceilings with LED rope lighting, prefinished hardwood flooring, and open-riser staircases with black-metal railings define the home’s contemporary flow. The kitchen showcases a 10-foot waterfall quartz island, full-height quartz backsplash, and contrasting cabinetry for a luxurious yet functional centerpiece. Adjacent spaces such as the butler’s area with Calacatta Gold quartz and indirect lighting, loft coffee bar, and in-law suite kitchen extend this refined modern aesthetic throughout.
Each bathroom is thoughtfully curated, blending matte black fixtures, floating vanities, and dark and light tile contrasts for a spa-like sense of calm. The media room, wet bar, and classroom built-in continue the home’s contemporary language of simplicity and detail.
Project Cody Rd represents Monarch’s commitment to modern livability and timeless design, a residence where bold architecture, natural light, and refined detail come together in perfect harmony.
