Located in Clifton, Virginia, Project Clifton Rd by Monarch Custom Homes is a refined expression of modern transitional architecture, blending grand classical proportions with clean contemporary lines. This 8,500 sq ft residence is designed with a strong sense of symmetry, natural light, and indoor outdoor connection, creating a home that feels both timeless and distinctly modern.
The façade is defined by smooth white stucco, a dramatic stone entry tower, and a soaring two story glass entry, giving the home its sculptural presence. Dark architectural roofing and black modern window frames create striking contrast, while the combination of stucco and stone brings warmth and texture to the clean geometry.
At the rear, expansive walls of glass open to multiple terraces, including a covered outdoor living space, open balconies, and a resort-style pool deck. A modern pergola and layered outdoor areas enhance the home’s seamless indoor outdoor lifestyle.
Inside, the design centers around openness, symmetry, and natural flow. A sweeping curved staircase anchors the double-height foyer, setting a dramatic yet refined tone. The main level features expansive living and dining spaces, a grand kitchen with a large island, and generous windows that frame views of the outdoor terraces.
The upper level includes a serene primary suite with a private balcony and spa-inspired bathroom, while additional suites offer comfort, privacy, and spacious walk-in closets.
The lower level is designed for entertainment, featuring a large recreation room, wet bar, theater area, gym, and direct access to the pool patio. Full-height windows bring abundant natural light into the basement, enhancing the sense of openness throughout.
A sophisticated fusion of European elegance and modern simplicity, this home exemplifies Monarch’s commitment to timeless design, clean lines, and luxurious living.
